At the beginning of June, the Registry Agency in Bulgaria announced that the current information systems of the Property Register and the Commercial Register and the Register of Non-Profit Legal Entities (CRRNPLE) will be merged into a single portal. The current systems of the Property Register and CRRNPLE will continue to function and will be available until 27 July 2020 on the well-known Internet sites - http://brra.bg and http://icadastre.bg. After 27 July 2020 the access to these sites will be permanently suspended. The common platform that unites the two registers will be available at the following address – portal.registryagency.bg.
The project is implemented under the Operational Program "Good Governance" 2014-2020. The website of the new platform announces that its use will be subject to the following technical requirements:
- current version of the operating system for computers and smart devices (e.g. over Windows 8 or MacOS 10, etc.);
- an up-to-date version of Internet browsers such as Microsoft Edge based on Chromium, Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.
The portal will not be accessible from devices with old, not supported by the manufacturers operating systems and browsers.
The transition to the new portal is carried out in two stages:
1. After 9 June the common platform is visible to users and they have the opportunity to register user profiles and join their electronic signature, certificate issued by the Registry Agency or Personal Identification Code (PIC) issued by the National Revenue Agency (NRA);
2. On 27 July 2020 – all electronic services in portal.registryagency.bg will be activated.
In the period June 9 – July 27 it will be possible to make inquiries in the new portal without any state fee due. If it is necessary to review scanned documents contained in the files (lots) of legal entities / non-profit organizations, the portal will require the identification through a qualified electronic signature / certificate from the Registry Agency / PIC of the NRA. In addition, during the specified transitional period, users can use the new free services-consultations for the Property Register - checking the status of the application, checking the location of the Registry Office, Calculator for calculating state fees.
After 27 July 2020 the payment for inquiries to the Property Register will be made only electronically. The available funds on the user's account in the Property Register will be transferred automatically after 27 July to the user account in the new portal, only if the user has explicitly stated a desire to merge the accounts.
